What goes into an Odyssey Roof Replacement?

Odyssey offers high-quality roofing shingles in a wide variety of styles, types, and colors for residential and commercial applications. Asphalt roofing shingles, DaVinci composite shingles, and Cedar Shake are most commonly used in residential roofing replacements, while flat roofing and metal roofing tend to be used more in commercial projects – however there is a large overlap. There are many different types and styles of roofing shingles, and Odyssey Roofing has partnered with the leading manufacturers in every field to provide the highest quality products at affordable prices.

Proper attic ventilation systems allow a continuous flow of outside air through the attic which creates cooler attics in the summer and drier attics in the winter. It consists of a balanced system between air intake (at your eaves or soffits) and air exhaust (at or near your roof ridge). Odyssey offers Ridge Vent, Static Vents, Solar Powered Vents and various Intake Ventilation options such as ventilating soffit to hidden shingle vents to meet the different ventilation needs of different houses.

Underlayments are designed for use on residential roof decks as a water-resistant layer beneath roofing shingles. Odyssey Roofing uses RoofRunner™ and DiamondDeck® high performance synthetic underlayment which does not rip, tear, or degrade like commonly used felt paper to help prevent water from reaching your roof decking and prevent the negative effects of wind-driven rain in vulnerable areas.

Starter shingles are the initial shingle products installed on the roof, just before the first course of the roofing shingles. Other than their primary function of providing wind resistance, they are designed to work specifically with different styles of shingles for consistent appearance and performance.

Odyssey uses only the best Ice and Water shield – CertainTeed WinterGuard® waterproofing shingle underlayment.  WinterGuard® is the solution for winning the battle against water penetration in your roof’s most vulnerable places.

Accessory shingles are used to finish the hips and ridges of a residential roof and carry the same warranty as the shingles they are applied over. There are a number of options designed to complement the appearance of shingles while providing the same level of protection and durability.
